Fiber Termination Box Market Size, Share & Industry Analysis, By Type ( Wall Mount Fiber Termination Box, Rock Mount Fiber Termination Box ), By Application ( Telephone, Data and Image Transmission, Television, Others ) and regional Forecast, 2024-2032
Report Format: PDF | Published Date: Ongoing | Report ID: FBI103923 | Status : UpcomingFiber Termination Box (FTB), known as the optical termination box (OTB) as well, is a compact fiber management product of small size. It is widely adopted in FTTx cabling for both fiber cabling and cable management. In some circumstances, the fiber termination box can be regarded as the mini size of the fiber optic patch panel and optical distribution frame (ODF). It generally refers to the box shape fiber optic management products used to protect and distribute the optical fiber links in FTTH Networks. The direct application of the termination box is to terminate fiber optic cables and connect the core of the cable and pigtail. It is typically applied to the telecom equipment room or network equipment room. It is also available for the distribution and termination connection for various kinds of fiber optic systems and is especially suitable for mini-network terminal distribution in which the optical cables, patch cores, or pigtails are connected.
Based on type, the market is segmented into wall mount fiber termination box and rock mount fiber termination box. Wall mount fiber termination box leads the market as it provides a perfect solution to be used in building entrance terminals, telecommunication closets, main cross-connects, computer rooms, and other controlled environments. It is a suitable device for pre-connected cables, field installation of connectors, and field splicing of pigtails.
Based on the application, the market is segmented into telephone, data and image transmission, television, and others. Television leads the market as it is majorly used to provide fiber welding and optical connector transfer. Also, it is used to provide mechanical protection and environmental protection for optical fibers and their components and allows proper inspection to maintain the highest standards of fiber management. The fiber terminal box is widely used in the city, CATV cable TV series, and image transmission system.
The key market driver of this market is the growing demand for networking components to enhance the life of optical fibers. The telecommunications industry is witnessing increased demand for the introduction of technologies with the capability to transport IP/Ethernet traffic in its native format while retaining its robust OAM features. Optical fibers have been introduced to provide efficient network services and handle packet traffic efficiently. Other factors that drive the market include demand for increased network speed and the rising number of internet users.
The key market restraint of this market is the reduction of network speed due to the use of wireless techniques. Due to this restraint of wireless network connections, FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) has been introduced to provide higher-bandwidth and seamless network connections. Other constraints include the high cost of installation of fiber termination box.
Key Players Covered:
Some of the major companies in the Fiber Termination Box market include Prysmian Group, Furukawa Electric LatAm, Corning Incorporated, Sterlite Power, Belden Inc., Hexatronic, Nexans, CommScope, YOFC PERU S.A.C, M/s Linkwell Telesystems Pvt Ltd, Green Telecom Group, Inc, K&M Manufacturing Solutions, Sopto Technology, Carefiber Optical Technology Co., Ltd, and Sumitomo Electric.
Regional Analysis:
The global fiber termination box market is studied across different regions like North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa. North America is anticipated to hold a significant share in the market due to growth in the telecommunications industry in countries like the US and Canada. There is a lot of competition in the market as the new technology arriving on the technological landscape at an unprecedented pace. The Asia Pacific region is expected to witness healthy growth in the forecast period due to the demand for telecommunication services. This is driven by factors like the young demographic profile of the region, the importance of domestic savings, and technophile and entrepreneurial culture. The rise of new operators in countries like China, India, and Singapore is also a factor in driving the market. The European market is growing at a significant rate due to the demand of the internet and increase in the telecommunication sector like the European Telecommunication Network Operator (ETNO) in countries like France, Russia, and Germany. In the Middle East & Africa region, the significant growth of the market is expected due to growth in the telecommunication sector, like CommScope, in Saudi Arabia, and demand for increased network speed, which will drive the market.
