Impact of Russia Ukraine War
The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has significantly impacted the region's use and development of MRAP. As the conflict escalated, Ukraine and Russia increased their demand for MRAP vehicles to protect their troops. This led to domestic and design manufacturers' increased production and sales.
In the early stages of the conflict, Ukraine relied heavily on MRAP to transport troops and supplies through areas where IEDs were a significant threat. The Ukrainian military acquired MRAPs from various sources, including the United States, Canada, and other countries. These Vehicles proved to be highly effective at protecting soldiers and reducing casualties from IED attacks. However, the conflict has dragged on, and both sides have become more adept at countering MRAPs. Russian –backed separatist forces have developed new tactics and weapons to target MRAPs, including larger IEDs and anti-tank missiles. As a result, Ukrainian troops have had to adapt their tactics and use equipment to move through the conflict zone.
