"Designing Growth Strategies is in our DNA"
An interdental brush even called interproximal brush, is a minuscule tool, shaped to clean between teeth. They can also be useful to clean around fixed braces and at the very rear of the mouth, where a general toothbrush can’t reach. These brushes are made by a filament adhered to a place by metal wire similar to a bottle brush. The wire can be turned or angled to promote its approach to specific spots in the mouth. A handle attached to the wire makes it very easy to operate the interdental brush. The interproximal brush helps to protect against periodontal diseases by removing food particles and tooth plaque from diastema. Factors like increasing demand and awareness in people regarding dental health are expected to boost the market in the future.
An increase in the prevalence of dental caries is expected to boost the market in the forecast period. According to the report published by the Global Burden of Disease Study (WHO) 2018, it was estimated that diseases of oral cavity touched almost fifty percent of the world’s populace with tooth decay in permanent teeth being the most prevalent condition assessed. Moreover, increasing awareness regarding periodontal and oral diseases is further driving the growth of the market. According to the study published by the journal of dental research in 2018, it was reported that interdental cleaning could reduce the chances of oral diseases.
However, factors such as early gum problems and bleeding gums due to the use of interproximal brushes are likely to hinder the growth of the market.
