A particle counting system is a device, which can display or record the size and count of distinct particles in air/ liquid. The system can count the entire particle concentration as per the appropriate size of the particle ranges under an appropriate sampling atmosphere. Furthermore, nature of particle counting machines is based upon various factors such as light obscuration, light scattering, and direct imaging. High concentration of light source is used in order to illuminate particles as they pass via the detection chamber. Light scattering method is used, to redirect the light detected by a detector. Whereas in direct imaging method, a halogen illuminate’s the particles from the hind in the cell, while a HD camera records the passing particles. Recorded videos are then analysed by the computer software in order to measure the attributes of the particles. The amount of light dispersed/ blocked is calculated and the particles are counted and charted into standard counting bunch.

Particle counters systems also aids in measuring fine particles, which are contaminating into manufacturing facilities and have significant influence in degrading the quality of microstructure of the products. Moreover, liquid-borne particle counters are widely used to measure liquid-borne elements in the production process for products.
