PlantFusion Introduces Novel Plant Protein Supplement for Women
PlantFusion, the US-domiciled plant-based foods specialist, announced in July 2020 the launch of ‘INSPIRE FOR WOMEN’, the company’s latest plant based protein shake for women that supplies ingredients to balance hormones, support metabolism, and provide energy. The product is a unique mix of proteins derived from superfoods, algae, artichoke, and peas, along with 5,000gms of naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). Furthermore, the company has also revealed the exclusive ingredients blended into the protein shake powder, including punicosides, l-theanine, and Sensoril, which is a patented form of Ashwagandha and aids in balancing stress hormones.
Widespread Animal Cruelty to Push Consumers towards Plant-based Diets
Cruelty inflicted on animals to satisfy meat requirements of humans has pushed a large number of people to adopt plant-based diets. For example, a report in the Guardian stated that every year approximately 95,000 male calves are killed across the UK soon after birth as they do not give milk and are not suitable for beef production. Further, according to a report from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), roughly 1.5 billion pigs are killed every year (in Europe, they are usually killed in gas chambers) to meet the surging demand for pork, bacon, sausages, and ham worldwide. With people becoming more aware about the inhuman treatment of animals, the demand for plant based protein supplements and other nutrients is rising. These naturally-derived ingredients serve the protein needs of the human body in the same measure as those provided by animal-based food items.

Lastly, the strategies adopted by the companies are designed to enable them to establish presence in the burgeoning markets of Asia, Africa, and South America.
