The research was conducted by running simulations with the help of a comprehensive battery degradation model. The modelling results showed that if the daily drive cycle consumes a range between 21% and 38% state of charge, and then discharging 40% to 80% of the batteries state of charge to the grid minimizes capacity fade by approximately 6% and power fade by 3% across a period of three months.
